  • June 8-10: Presented a paper in Trinidad at eLearn 2009 Conference hosted by University of West Indies. Title of Paper: "The Great National Nursing Shortage in United States: Is Distance Education The Answer?"

  • Feb 18-20: A paper on "10 Guiding Principles of Game-based Learning", SALT New Learning Technologies 2009 , Orlando (presented by Polly Watkins and Ron Novy)

  • Feb 17-19: On ACICS accrediting team - evaluated the Game Design and Multimedia degree programs at a for-profit institution in Duluth, GA

Currently. I joined the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences since June 2007 as the AVP for Educational Technology and Distance Learning. I'm responsible for all instructionally-related technology implementation and integration, as well as managing the distance learning department that serves 1400 distance students.

Recently. Most recently, I was the Dean of Academic Technology at the Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, where I continued R&D on interactive academic gaming which led the campus to be recognized as one of the Campus Technology Magazine's 16 Technology Innovators in the nation in 2006. I founded the university's Online Campus in 2006.

Previously. Previously, I was the Director of Instructional Technology Center, and Assistant Professor in Information Technology Management at the University of Minnesota, Crookston, the nation's first laptop campus. *The passing of our family friend, Hilda Juhl, had a great impact on me. She is the most Christlike and most positive person I have ever met. She told me and Amy at many occasions that she enjoyed my singing very much and would like to hear them again even though we have moved away. I wanted to record some favorite hymns for her but took too long to do them. A month before her passing, I told myself I should do it and started recording a couple. But it was too late...
