iPod Touch Challenge Game Prototype New

For years, I have been fascinated by the idea of creating interactive Bible games to keep my young daughter and her friends "out of trouble" on Sabbath afternoons. Toolbook's OpenScript gave me the first shot at realizing this dream. When Flash 4 was released, I quickly realized that the ubiquity of Flash was the way to go. The first Flash Bible Challenge game was created in Flash 5 Action Script. The Flash Bible Games on the book of Revelation (intended to help Pathfinders prepare for the Bible Bowl) began to appear online in 2001 at the Grand Forks Church Website. Since then some 70 games have been added to help youth study the various books of the Bible. The goal is to create Flash Bible Games for every book in the Bible.

In the meantime, the Flash Challenge Game reusable object was created. It was first introduced at a conference in 2001 in Madison, Wisconsin and officially launched during a presentation at Educause 2002 in Atlanta. This Flash Games Generator 1 is currently hosted at the University of Minnesota. It is now been used by many colleges and universities.

Since then 4 additional Flash game objects had been implemented. A new Flash Games Generator 2 integrating all 5 game objects was introduced at a conference in September 2005 in Austria. It is currently hosted at Southern Adventist University. The Flash Games Generator 3 for generating PDA games is underway. Multi-player games are being planned for 2006 as well.
