Dan's Travels: Adelaide, Australia
| With a population of about 1.5 million people, Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia. It has the largest fresh produce market in the Southern Hemisphere and the longest running in Australia. It runs a free public bus system in the downtown area. I presented a paper at an international distance learning conference hosted by the University of South Australia in Adelaide. My family and I had wonderful moments with the native Australian fauna at the Cleland Wildlife Park. The kangaroos were pretty laid-back though. We were there during the Sydney Olympics and the Moon-cake Festival season (we brought our lanterns). |
