One of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the Siesta beach has it all: sun, sand, and very inviting waters. It was recognized as having the whitest and finest sand in the world at the "Great International White Sand Beach Challenge" held in 1987. Being 99% quartz, the sand in Siesta Beach is very cool even on very hot days. My feet felt so good in the sand. Since Carissa and Oni came to see us for Spring Break, we decided to check out the Siesta Beach again (previous visit was some 15 years ago). Amy brought her College Algebra book prepping for her upcoming test. There were quite a few brown pelicans searching for their lunch. Carina had a serendipitous find at the beach parking lot: her favorite Herbie, the No 53 Love Bug.

I felt really blessed while basking with my family in the whitest sand and emerald waters....
