No, we didn't see any high surfs - especially disappointing to Amy. But we did see the North Shore and some surfers in action. I was pleasantly surprised to see some dunes on the beach (reminded me of dunes on Lake Michigan shore). Again, Carina took to the sand and had a good time. The Sunset Beach community looked quite rural. We felt like we were somewhere in the kampongs in Malaysia. Amy was hoping to try some "plate lunch". It turned out to be somewhere else (see the collage of the other side of North Shore).
