Dan's Travels: Fun and serendipity at the world-famous Waikiki beach (October 2006)
Waikiki beach is probably the most famous beach in the world. It's a beach we look forward returning to no matter how many times we've been here. It has the turquoise water, incredible views, beautiful resorts, modern convenience, and serendipity. The sand could be whiter and softer and the water calmer for swimming. The water did invite surfers of all ages who seemed to ride any wave that looks like one. You can tell that we had a lot of fun. We joined some people along the wave barrier for a brief serendipitous encounter. What a treat it was to run into some sea turtles! We had never seen them in the wild. |
